Yesteryear Actress Ashwini who earned a huge number of fans in all south Indian languages with her acting passes away at the Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai in the early hours of Sunday, September 23. Ashwini (43) was suffering from a liver-related illness. She had been receiving a prolonged treatment for her illness in the hospital, where she breathed her last.
Ashwini was one of the most popular South Indian actresses in 1980's. Chupulu Kalisini Subhavela, Vivaha Bojanambu, Station Master, Anaadiga Adadi, Kaliyuga Pandavulu.. were some of her noted films. She acted in more than 150 films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Her sudden death has shocked all her fans. However, the actress is survived by a son. Her last rites were performed on Sunday at her native place in Nellore.
